How to disable wired radio broadcasting from RSVO and Rostelecom

Home radio is a telecommunications service that many modern people no longer even remember. If you are one of those, then our article today is clearly not intended for you. We want to talk about Rostelecom radio points, which some subscribers can still use today.

Who can turn off the radio?

Only the owner of an apartment or residential building can “turn off” the radio point. If the refusal of this service is issued by the owner’s representative, then a notarized power of attorney must be provided.

What is Radiotochka from Rostelecom

Home radio is a fairly old service, which during the Soviet Union was extremely popular and was present, perhaps, in every apartment. Then people could enjoy music, entertainment programs, news broadcasts, even broadcasts for the youngest listeners.

Today, a radio point, by and large, is a service that is used as a kind of “mouthpiece” capable of notifying listeners about a variety of situations:

  • Ecological disasters;
  • Man-made accidents;
  • Natural disasters and cataclysms;
  • Probable terrorist attacks.

If you suddenly encounter the sounds of a siren in the city, this means that you urgently need to turn on such a stationary radio. It is on its frequency that information regarding the purpose of the sound of the siren should be broadcast.

Options for disabling the Rostelecom radio point

If you follow the established rules, there must be a radio point in any apartment, any house. However, we all understand that the presence of a radio point is not always comparable to our wishes in interior design, and to be precise, its presence is never comparable to such wishes.

But simply physically disconnecting the point is not an ideal solution due to the fact that the subscription fee for its use will continue to be charged. Of course, the amount of the subscription fee charged is almost invisible, but is it really worth paying for downtime of a service that you will most likely never use?

This is where the question arises about existing methods of refusing to continue using this service and completely turning off the radio point. And today there are several of them:

  • Contacting a special organization called RSVO;
  • Contact the local housing office with a request of an appropriate nature. Of course, this “request” must be made in writing.

Possible difficulties and refusal to provide services

Most often, citizens are given a refusal due to the fact that they have a payment debt. This cannot be allowed, otherwise your application will not be accepted. It is also recommended to take a certificate from the MFC confirming that there is no debt.

A citizen’s application will not be accepted even if he has not attached a receipt for payment. Let us remind you that the cost of deactivating the service is 61 rubles.

Disabling the radio point is a paid service

As you can see, turning off a radio point via the Internet is much easier than going to the company in person. However, there are also disadvantages here - in particular, the service is paid, and you cannot upload an electronic version of the application - you will have to scan it or take a photo of the finished document.

Through the Internet

This method is available not only to residents of the capital. However, the algorithm is described using the example of a Moscow service. Let's look at what needs to be done to turn off the radio point through "Government Services".

  1. You should go to the website “My Documents - Moscow State Services”.
  2. In the list of available functions, open the “Electronic reception” option.
  3. Next – “Proceed to send message”.
  4. A form to fill out will appear on the screen. You should add scanned copies of documents to the “Attach files” section.

  5. In the “sections” – click “Disable the radio point”.

  6. After this, you will have access to the application form and payment details for paying the fee.
  7. Now all that remains is to enter the security code and click on “Submit”.

Refusal from a radio point in St. Petersburg via the Internet is done through the regular menu of the “State Services” portal.

Intercom: from 64 rub./month

The explosive popularity of intercoms occurred in the mid-2000s, when all housing cooperatives and homeowners associations rushed to install new “fashionable” entrance doors. But after ten years, many residents discover that they don’t really need the intercom tube in their apartment. Meanwhile, the tariff for servicing an intercom, according to the same table for 2021, in Moscow is 64 rubles.

If you live alone and random guests don’t often come to you, or vice versa - you have an apartment with a remarkable number, and everyone who wants to get into the entrance is constantly calling you, you can completely turn off the intercom “handset”, leaving only the key “tablet” for yourself. . Then you won't have to pay for the intercom anymore.

How to turn off the intercom? In fact, it’s trivial not to pay on the receipts sent by the installation company (if that’s the case). Then the intercom in your apartment will be turned off according to approximately the same principle as the Internet is turned off if you do not pay for it.

There is also an official procedure for disconnecting from the intercom. It is necessary to pay off all debts for the intercom and contact the installation company with a service agreement. There you should write an application to disconnect from the intercom line, after which your apartment number will be blocked on the intercom panel - and you can enjoy the silence.

Is there any benefit from a radio point?

All old buildings on the territory of the Russian Federation are connected to the system of Russian networks responsible for warning. This leads to the fact that even if there is no radio in the house, the owner receives a bill for payment.
Currently, this service is relevant if it is necessary to notify the population about emergency situations, terrorist attacks, and natural disasters when all other means of communication are unavailable.

In 2021, in the Moscow State Duma, the chairman of the meeting made a proposal: to oblige developers to install a radio point in all new buildings. No official regulations or laws regarding this issue have been adopted.

On the RSVO website, the management of the institution calls for the restoration of radio points if it was not installed in the housing or was turned off. This is because radio broadcasting is one of the safe methods of providing information to the public.

Important! In new buildings, the installation of a radio point is not provided for by the design.

Collective antenna: from 215 rub./month

Another vestige of the past is a collective TV antenna on the roof. If you have connected cable or satellite TV a long time ago, it makes sense to disconnect from the antenna for the entire entrance so as not to waste money. According to the housing and communal services tariff table for 2021, in Moscow the cost of using a collective antenna is 215.22 rubles.

There is no point in adding this amount to your payment for the Internet + TV package. The only case when you can save a collective antenna is if you are going to catch 20 digital TV channels through it. But it will be much more economical to spend money once and buy an individual one.

How to refuse a collective antenna? The first step is to find out which organization maintains the antenna in your apartment building. Next you need to proceed according to the following scenario:

  1. Fully repay the debt for the use of a collective antenna, if there is one. This must be confirmed by a certificate from the EIRC, a bank check or an electronic receipt if you pay online.
  2. Call the organization providing the service and clarify the list of documents that must be provided to disconnect. It may vary from company to company.
  3. Submit a package of documents to the service organization and fill out an application to disconnect from the antenna.
  4. Agree on the day and time of the technician’s arrival. On the appointed day, he will come and do all the work to disconnect the antenna.

The current state of radio broadcasting

Maintaining wired broadcast networks is quite expensive. That’s why the subscription fee in some regions goes beyond 200 rubles/month. Radio networks broadcast from one to three stations. The first broadcast is conducted in low-frequency mode; to listen to it you need the simplest receiver - it has almost nothing except a volume control and a speaker. The remaining two programs are broadcast with high-frequency modulation - to listen to them you need a three-program receiver with mains power supply.

Wired radio broadcasting is carried out by Rostelecom and Federal State Unitary Enterprise RSVO. Installation of a radio point in a house or apartment is carried out after writing the appropriate application. Next, the availability of technical connectivity is checked. In some cities and regions, radio broadcasting simply does not work - it is not in demand, or communication lines have deteriorated to such an extent that their repair is unprofitable. If subscribers need radio, Rostelecom offers them alternative solutions.

In some Russian cities, there is no wired radio broadcasting due to strong winds that rendered radio networks unusable - radio receivers with conventional receiving antennas were offered to subscribers as a replacement.

In some regions, wired radio broadcasting from RSVO and Rostelecom has faded to the extent that only one program is broadcast on communication networks. Radio networks have remained in demand only in villages, and even then the number of subscribers is constantly falling. The day is not far when networks will finally cease to exist, being replaced by more modern technologies.
