Renovation is a large-scale reconstruction of dilapidated housing stock. But most often renovation refers to the improvement of residential and industrial buildings.

If a house undergoes a major renovation, during which all pipes and electrical wiring are replaced, all walls are insulated, and an attic is built, this can also be called renovation. The changes will affect the total area. It will become larger than a five-story building:
- the kitchen will be bigger. A façade basket for the air conditioner will be installed outside the window;
- the hallway will grow. The “line” does not have a dressing room;
- the bathroom will be bigger. In the “vest”, the toilet and bathroom will be located in different places.
In the language of real estate experts, such an apartment is called a “vest” because its windows look in different directions of the house. Spacious apartment, large hall. The balcony opens from the kitchen. The kitchen itself, compared to the Khrushchev buildings, is huge: as much as 12 meters! In general, a very worthy option.
Three bedroom apartment
The layout of three-room apartments has changed. The layout of the living room and bedroom have been swapped. All rooms are isolated (in old Moscow houses the hall was a walk-through room). The total area has been increased by 19 square meters. m.
The layout of residential premises for renovation is as follows:
- the living room area is 3 square meters less;
- added dressing room 2.2 sq. m;
- large corridor - 9.5 sq. m;

Now the area of a one-room apartment is 43 square meters, a two-room apartment is 56 square meters and a three-room apartment is 78 square meters.
