A housing certificate is a document on the basis of which a citizen can pay for the purchase of a new home at the expense of the state.

The main condition for receiving it is that the house is recognized as unsafe before January 1, 2021. It is also important that ownership is acquired before the house is declared unsafe. An exception is receiving housing as an inheritance.

The state buys one square meter at a price of 83,963 rubles. The minimum footage is 33.5 square meters, even if the area owned by the owner is actually smaller.
