Cleaning entrances to an apartment building. Who should clean the entrances?


Any person wants to live in a property that is comfortable and clean. Therefore, many people living in an apartment building are interested in the question of how the entrances and other common areas in this building are cleaned. By law, management companies must monitor cleanliness. But citizens at the meeting can decide to independently clean the entrances to an apartment building. During this process, certain sanitary standards must be taken into account, thanks to which the entrance will always be clean.

What standards are set?

Standards for cleaning entrances in apartment buildings are established at the state level. Several regulations and provisions have been adopted on the basis of which relations arising between management companies and residents of the building are regulated.

It is in PP No. 290 that contains information on how to clean the premises, which are the common property of all apartment owners in the building. The standard for cleaning entrances in an apartment building must be taken into account by each management company, therefore the following requirements must be met:

  • entrances and staircases must be kept in optimal sanitary condition, therefore dirty floors, window sills or other elements are not allowed;
  • Both dry and wet cleaning must be carried out, not only of entrances, but even of the surrounding area;
  • On each floor in the house, optimal ventilation must be ensured, for which special ventilation ducts are installed or the windows are regularly opened.

The provisions of this Resolution were developed on the basis of GOST standards.

What to do if they clean up poorly?

If cleaning in an apartment building is performed poorly, residents should show their dissatisfaction. First of all, you need to talk with the chairman, who, on behalf of all owners, will convey the claims to the management company.

If verbal complaints go unheeded, you must contact the HOA with a written complaint . Based on it, the Criminal Code should form a commission and conduct an inspection. Based on its results, measures are taken, for example, reprimanding the staff, punishing the responsible persons with a fine or dismissal.

If the management organization ignores the legitimate demands of residents, you need to contact higher authorities. This could be GZhT, the prosecutor's office, Rospotrebnadzor, etc. Identified violations will be eliminated with their help, and the owners must recalculate and return money for services not provided.
