The form at the place of residence includes the following mandatory sections:
- The name of the organization where the application is made.
- Information about the applicant: full name, date and place of birth, gender.
- Indication of the previous place of residence with its exact address.
- When registering for children, you must enter information about their legal representative - one of the parents or a guardian.
- The owner of the premises in which registration is provided is entered. The degree of family ties of the applicant with the owner of the residential premises is indicated.
- It is necessary to enter data from the title document for housing, which can be a certificate of ownership or a lease agreement.
- The form is filled in with the exact new address indicating the postal code.
- Information from the passport of the registered citizen is entered.
- The date of preparation and signature of the applicant is indicated.
Form No. 6 has a second part, which must contain information about removal from the previous place of registration. It should be filled out only if an extract has not been made from the previous address.
When registering, the presence of:
- The applicant must fill out the application themselves.
- If the citizen registering is not the owner of the apartment, then the personal presence of the owner of the property or a notarized power of attorney from the owner is required.
You can also write an application in the presence of a notary. In this case, the obligatory appearance of the apartment owner at the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation is not required.
The completed form along with the documents is submitted to an employee of the Federal Migration Service, who must check that it is filled out correctly and that all required papers are available. After this, the employee certifies the application with his signature.
Attention! There is no validity period for the document as such. It is necessary to comply with the registration deadline, which is 7 days after discharge from the previous place of residence. Otherwise, penalties will follow.

Then electronic registration occurs. When submitting via the Internet, the information is checked, and after 3 working days an invitation to register will follow.

Submission deadlines and costs
The deadlines and cost of filing are specified in paragraph 124 of the Administrative Regulations.
If the applicant has submitted all the necessary documents, then registration must be completed within 72 hours.
The period increases to 6 days if the documents were submitted not directly to the Main Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but through the State Services website or the passport office.
If the applicant does not present a document that serves as the basis for occupancy, then the registration period is extended by another 2 days.
There is no need to pay for registration.

If a citizen who wants to obtain registration in a home is not the owner of the apartment, then one of the owners will need to submit a special application - a petition for registration, and all other owners must provide written consent to carry out such a procedure.
It is important that the citizen acting as the owner of the property puts his signature on the completed application and consent forms. Additionally, you will need title papers for the apartment, certifying his right to dispose of the property.
The consent of other residents may not be necessary only if they are not the owners of the property. In some cases, such coordination is carried out with the persons registered in the apartment, but this is not required by law.
