What documents need to be collected?

You need to select the “extract from the house register” item and click on the “receive service” button. Next, you need to fill out the form, checking that the entered data is correct, and submit a request for processing.

Thanks to the public services service, it is possible to apply for an extract from the house register free of charge. It should be filled out and sent to the specified email.

If a copy of the document is sufficient for the applicant, it can be received in a response email. If an original is required, then to obtain it you will need to contact the MFC branch or another authorized structure with all the necessary documents. A standard extract from the house register takes one to three working days, and an extended (archival) one from three to seven.

Document issue deadline

As mentioned above, the document is issued for a period of validity of one month. Often, some people take it in advance in order not to waste time, although this is absolutely not necessary. There is an opinion that obtaining an archived extract takes a lot of time and is expensive.

Archival extract from the house register when purchasing real estate

The main risks in the secondary real estate market are primarily related to the registration of citizens in the purchased apartment who belong to one of the following categories:

minor children;
convicted citizens or persons staying in places of deprivation of liberty at the time of conclusion of the contract.

Discharge of minor citizens is only permissible from municipal housing. But even in this case, the child must have another place of permanent registration. In addition, written consent from both parents or from guardianship officials is required to remove a child from the apartment.

It is also important that the other place of registration is not inferior in square meters to the current one. Otherwise, it will not be possible to carry out such a procedure, since this will be regarded as a violation of the rights of the child. It is almost impossible to discharge a minor from privatized real estate.

Particular caution should be taken when purchasing secondary apartments in which persons serving sentences by court decision are registered. It is possible to unilaterally deprive them of ownership of this property through a court order.

Production time and validity

The passport office or the Main Department of Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs issues an extract within a day. In the Multifunctional Center and legal and real estate offices, production times are slightly increased.
